Elementaria, the hi-design prototype exhibition created to present a new business model promoting raw materials and innovation in display and exhibition furnishings for the brand industry, returns for its 11th edition with a new project: “text-to-image design”. This methodology, based on generative artificial intelligence (AI), produces images following a linguistic prompt — though not without the use of traditional design techniques.
Within Elementaria, AI applied to exhibition design can be understood at different levels of use: from text-to-image generation to the elaboration of a traditional drawing created and refined by the chosen AI software (design-to-prompt approach).
The 2024 edition focused on developing models functional to spreading brand identity in a retail scenario where the concept of a “shop window store” is materializing, without neglecting industrial ecology.
The theme of 2024 was B.I.T. — Totemic Biomimetic Identity. Biomimicry is the imitation and observation of nature as inspiration for designing and creating tools and technologies useful to human reality.
At the exhibition area, alongside prototype spaces for display design solutions, a Materials Gallery was presented to promote raw materials generally used in display, shop fitting and contract sectors. The Raw Matter Gallery also featured materials not used in prototypes, particularly decor supports (communication films), experimental compounds, and mixtures.
